Fishing on Lake Wörthersee and Keutschacher See Valley and Rosental Valley

"Petri Heil!" the fishermen's greeting means at the same time to have patience and confidence in the good thing that is fishing.

Every fisherman needs a fishing license from the fishing water owner/tenant and an official fishing card ("tax card")!

The official fishing card for locals is available at the district authorities Villach or Klagenfurt (annual cards) and can be obtained only after completing an instruction. Fishing cards for guests, which are valid for 1 week, are available at the fishing card issuing offices. No training is required for this.

Fishing is allowed in the Mühl- and Mitterteich all year round, except when ice forms. From 1.6. to 31.8. fishing is only allowed in the red marked area (see map or directly at the information boards at the pond).

Techelsberg - Forstsee (reservoir)

Day fishing permits for the Forstsee are available at the tourist office in Töschling (May to September) or at the municipal office in St. Martin am Techelsberg. By showing a fishing permit card of the province of Carinthia, one receives the day pass. Without this, a fishing guest card - valid for 1 week - or a guest card - valid for 4 weeks - is additionally required, which is also available at the municipal or tourist office.
