Krimifest Carinthia | Wörthersee and Villach

The facets of Lake Wörthersee are many and varied. Especially impressive is the magical spectacle of nature in autumn. In the morning, the mist rises, the sun finds its way and illuminates the lake into a power-giving oasis for nature lovers. In the evening, however, it becomes mysterious and mystical - it provides the perfect stage for your imagination and reveals its depths.

International crime celebrities as guests


Against this unique backdrop, the spectacular Krimifest will take place on Lake Wörthersee and in Villach from October 21 to 30, 2022. From urban-dark psychological thrillers to popular serial investigators and charming-comic regional crime novels, from the tranquil rural idyll to the big city setting, from crime novels to make you laugh to socio-critical novels that take a stand on current issues - the diversity of the crime novel is as great as the diversity of the Carinthian lake landscape. The audience is offered exciting days with readings by crime novel greats: International stars as well as German, Austrian and Swiss audience favorites.
