WE DID NOT DO WELL - The Correspondence of Ingeborg Bachmann and Max Frisch.

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Ingeborg Bachmann (born on June 25, 1926 in Klagenfurt - died October 17, 1973 in Rome), the acting stars Caroline Peters and Roland Koch present the more than 1000-page correspondence on stage, which testifies to the life, love, and suffering of one of the most famous couples in German-speaking literature.

The texts of the 297 letters were written over a period of almost fifteen years between 1958 and 1973. The number of these impressive testimonies of a tumultuous and tragic love between two significant literary figures of the post-war period provides deep insights into the inner life and the difficulty of leading an equal partnership as a couple while seeking shared happiness without losing freedom.


Caroline Peters has received several awards, including the German Actors Award, the Adolf Grimme Award, the Nestroy Theatre Award, and has been twice named Actress of the Year by the magazine "Theater heute."
Burgtheater actor Roland Koch is known to a wide television audience as part of the investigative team of Tatort Konstanz.
