A Lost Place. Three strangers. A corpse.
In the middle of the night, three people meet at an abandoned gas station, each more different than the other – yet connected by fate: Joran: Fresh out of the juvenile prison, returns to the place of his crime to retrieve his old loot. Charu: A photographer searching for the perfect morbid motif at this "Lost Place." Edda: A small girl in pajamas who should actually be in bed. But instead of the loot, Joran finds the corpse of his former accomplice in the sewer shaft. The dilapidated gas station becomes the stage for a gripping psychological thriller about guilt, atonement, and the question: Where does one flee to when there is no longer a home?

Thomas Knüwer was born in 1983 in the Münsterland region. The trained graphic designer works in the advertising and communications industry and runs a digital agency in Hamburg. His campaigns have been recognized with numerous national and international awards. Thomas Knüwer's writing career began in self-publishing, and with his publishing debut "The House Where Gudelia Dies," he won the German Crime Prize in 2024.
